I'm finally in classes that I actually like... writing classes. Which means I'm finally in the right major. I'm am so happy to finally know that.

First day of my fiction workshop class. I'm super excited... even though I'm not allowed to write fantasy. Well, time to embrace the human condition instead of trying to escape from it.

Staying up to watch The Blair Witch Project on the Sci-Fi channel and scaring myself.

Watching the giant snowflakes falling outside my window and thinking about how beautiful it all is.

Watching the movie "Easy A" with Steph. It was hilarious and I loved it. So many great lines.

Cutting my hair and having it not turn out as well as I had hoped.

Working out with my friends in the fitness center this afternoon.

Dancing to a fitness video with my friends. It was hilarious.

Making chocolate chip muffins for my friends.

Eating mac and cheese for dinner for the second night in a row.

Finishing the first read through of my book and starting my post-it outline.

Watching as the brownies we made failed completely.

Doing a whole lot of nothing.

Watching Harold and Maude with Steph.

Kissing my boyfriend at midnight.

Eating potato chips with sour cream.

Owning my own champagne glasses.

Celebrating the New Year with my friends.

Watching an NCIS marathon all day.

Getting to go visit my boyfriend and see other friends in Chicago.

Being really, really happy because being with him just feels right.

Meeting all of these new people at school and becoming instant friends with them, and realizing how similar we all are.

Getting a purple Volkswagen Bug for my golden birthday (20 on the 20th of December). It was everything I ever wanted in a car. I can't wait to drive it.

Hanging out with my friends until 5am playing Apples to Apples, eating pizza, and hanging out. Making silly jokes about everything and poking each other relentlessly while trying to catch our breath because we are laughing to the point of tears.

Baking cookies for all of my friends and watching "The Princess Bride." It was an amazing fun time and the cookies were delicious.

Making mac & cheese with friends at 1:30 in the morning because we were hungry and bored and all of the places we could have ordered food from were closed.

Sewing costumes for my friends for the anime convention we are going to in april.

Hanging out with friends and having nothing better to do.

Another Reason to Live

This blog has been a long time in the making. I first came up with this idea my senior year of high school after I almost attempted suicide. I realized I needed to start making a list of all the things I would have missed if I had died that day. I found an unused journal and started writing.

I'll probably go back and find that journal which has since been forgotten through several moves. I'll copy down those reasons along with new ones that arise. I hope you will look at this and decide to start your own reasons to live, or perhaps you'll simply want to comment and add to mine. I welcome that and if it's good I'll put it on my list.. as Another Reason to Live.

Reason 110:
It's funny having a cat who smells like wet dog. Benny was out in the rain.

Reason 109:
The next MR video we make is going to be about how JP didn't accurately record the lives of the Flock and how it's ridiculous.

Reason 108:
I've been scouring the MR books to put knowledge upon the boards.

Reason 107:
I got all the pans for the Ren Faire worked out. We're going third weekend in July.

Thumper Pond wasn't quite what I expected but it was fun cuz Sammi and Jeremy came.

Sammi's grad party was a blast.

We've been fixing up the old house and it looks really cool.

I got our trip to the renaissance faire all planned out.

I stayed on the new MR site all night long.

Christy stayed here then Indy went to Christy's.

I stayed up and talked with Christy while Indy was a work.

We hung out and played badminton, went mattress surfing, balanced on a refrigerator door, blew stuff up with the cannon, and just talked in the cabin and bungalow.

I had my graduation party and everyone but Katelyn made it.

Reason 94:
I was thinking about the movie Rose Red, and it was on TV today.

My graduation party is tomorrow.

I made potato salad and it turned out really good.

They gave us pizza and ice cream at the party.

We went to the PACC for a youth group party.

I found names and appearances for many of the characters in my story.

I got to sleep in this morning while everyone else was at school.

I worked on organizing my stories more. Stuff is getting closer to being organized enough to get finished.

Abbey and Stevie were gone all day so the house was really quiet.

I went to Laura and Trista's graduation parties. They were fun.

I finished my presents for everybody.

I got Ben to throw jelly beans at people during Jeremy's party.

We went to Katelyn's grad party and messed with her cupcakes so they spelled a different name.

Stacie gave me a microwave.

We made bets on when Jeremy would cry and I won.

Reason 79:
I graduated today and didn't cry.

I went to school because there was a choir party. I crashed it and got free food.

I got to hang out with my friends.

We watched the Seniors vs. Faculty softball game. Faculty won.

Reason 75:
Even though it was a skip day I went to school so Trista could pick me up. I helped her clean her basement.

I rented my cap and gown and bought my tassel.

I hung out and talked with Pa after school. That was fun.

I hung out with Trista after school, then we went to Sammi's and bugged Jeremy.

The seniors ran through the school and I got everyone to sing to Indy.

Pa surprised Indy at lunch and he got to meet my random friends.

I got a Kent McAllistor scholarship for $250.

Pa came to the senior breakfast.

A bunch of seniors drove 4-wheelers to school.

A bunch of the farm guys in my class drove their tractors to school.

My Science teacher let me go work on my art project during class.

My English teacher brought donuts for the class.

My final for History was totally easy.

Tomorrow is my last day of classes.

I put all the faeries in my garden and planted some plants.

My room is almost completely clean.

I worked on my slideshow for Sammi and Jeremy.

I slept a lot. I was so tired. I didn't ahve to do anything.

It was an all girl party so we went shopping.

When we watched "Prince Caspian" we saw the "Twilight" preview. *squee*

Reason 55:
Steve made a cake for Indy's suprise party. It was great.

Reason 54:
I got picked up from school to go talk to a counselor. She was really nice.

Reason 53:
We had a sub for Drafting so I typed part of my story.

Reason 52:
My rainstick for art turned out really cool.

Reason 51:
Sammi, Jeremy, Indy, and I wandered around Battle Lake. I found a quarter when I went to pick up a rock that was on top of it.

Reason 50:
Everyone is impressed with the novel I'm writing about my friends. I'm approximately half done. I'm on page 64 in my notebook.

Reason 49:
The speech pizza party was today. I ate 4 pieces. We got Trista, Stephanie, and Katelyn to come even though they aren't in speech.

Reason 48:
There are only 6 days left of school for me.

Reason 47:
Trista and I finished our houses for drafting, especially after I helped with half of hers.

Reason 46:
I went to the choir concert and it was awesome and I was so impressed with all the songs.

Reason 45:
My step-dad was making faces at my younger cousin and she was laughing and it was hilarious.

Reason 44:
I finished the second song of my slide show.
